One of the objectives of The Digital Future project at the INSTITUTE OF INTERNATIONAL & EUROPEAN AFFAIRS is the authoring of the digital competitiveness report. This brief report will be drafted on the basis of consultation with relevant stakeholders drawn largely from the EMEA headquarters, digital thought leaders, and Irish and EU policy officials. This report would seek to inform the policy community, with the benefit of insights drawn from the digital industry. The guiding principle is to produce an accessible report on options for maintaining competitive edge and implications of change in the Digital Future.Deliverable:
The deliverable will be a brief final report containing policy relevant insights with a view to contributing to Ireland's future digital competitiveness. The report will draw upon consultation with takeholders to present informed feedback on, and options for the future formulation of, Government policies relevant to maintaining or regaining digital competitiveness. This process will identify options and their implications for Ireland's competitive advantage in the digital area. The report will be short and framed in assessable language. Drafting will be undertaken by the Institute of International and European Affairs. Stakeholders' participation will be noted in the final report, and their views will be anonymous unless otherwise agreed.
