The Digital Competitiveness project will consult stakeholders across the broad digital sector to present informed feedback on, and options for the future formulation of, Government policies relevant to maintaining or regaining digital competitiveness. This process will identify options and their implications for Ireland's competitive advantage in the digital area.

Stakeholders:

Stakeholders will be drawn from the Digital Sector, which we define broadly. This includes communications regulators, actors in the ICT industry from multinational EMEA HQs in Ireland to indigenous startups, sub-sectors of the financial services, digital media content providers, game development, ICT R&D, web research, education, medical research, the media & culture sector, finance & capital providers, foreign development initiatives.

Deliverable:

The deliverable will be a brief final report containing policy relevant insights with a view to contributing to Ireland's future digital competitiveness. The report will draw upon consultation with stakeholders to present informed feedback on, and options for the future formulation of, Government policies relevant to maintaining or regaining digital competitiveness. This process will identify options and their implications for Ireland's competitive advantage in the digital area. The report will be short and framed in assessable language. Drafting will be undertaken by the Institute of International and European Affairs. Stakeholders' participation will be noted in the final report, and their specific views will be anonymous unless otherwise agreed.
